I’m the proud owner - rather, caretaker, of the Guinness world record holder, WORLD’S OLDEST CHICKEN. Peanut is now 21, was 20 when she received the title early this year.
I was about to toss her cold egg into our pond when I hear it cheep. I peeled her out of the egg and cared for her when her mother wouldn’t.
I wrote a book about her this past spring. It seems to have resonated with folks who are looking for a little hope and joy.
